Numerical Study of Twin Jets Interactions using Realizable Model

چکیده

In the present study, we numerically investigated twin turbulent jets characteristics and quantities when a solid object is placed between two nozzles. The are assumed to be isothermal, incompressible fully developed. Turbulence modeled by k-e Realizable model. set of Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes equations solved iteratively Fluent software. numerical model validated with experimental results available in literature. For many numbers, it was found that velocities its gradients decay along longitudinal direction. placement jet affects flow structure behind nozzles due curvature effect object. converging region disappeared combined points axial position increases number. evolution almost linearly an increase turbulence intensity at exit nozzle also examined. fixed number, intensity.
